Is Abortion Civilized? No
Member ArticlesIt comes to mind that we live in a world of follow the leader. So many so often take this notion of choice to do nothing at all. We choose to sit around, being lead. We choose to allow because we don’t want to stand up. Mostly, we know what is right and wrong, those that make the choice not to see it, often use excuses in the end; excuses like a bad childhood and poor parenting. Excuses like, you have never lived my life or been in my shoes. It is an oddity and a hypocrisy as most of those who speak in such ways to justify themselves also have not lived in their own shoes, much less any other.
On this subject called abortion, can we see ourselves as civilized people? Can we say without variable that we are a conscientious people with the best in mind and right at heart? Sometimes yes, sometimes no. We will kill, sometimes without regret, the only remaining innocence that exists in our world. We justify it by choice, to say we have that choice and it is right no matter what we choose. That is a falsity. There is no right or wrong, there is only the learned and the un-educated. I don’t mean books, I mean experience, I mean wisdom. To choose life and to make that ideal a constant is not to be a tyrant, it is to preserve what tyrants what to destroy. How many times will we hear the great hypocrisy that “We are women! We have the right to choose what is in our body!†then the next day, the next argument comes out to “My life is too hard, I don’t have a choice, I have to kill it.â€
How many rights were taken by these women with the destruction of one life. Is one right of one person worth a life? Is it to say that the rights that would befall a child for decades to come is irrelevant to the one moment, the one time a woman decides for even a second that she can not take responsibility for what she has done? Is it to say that a man too should have the right to walk away, free and clear because it is inconvenient for him to stay? Would it be a double standard to hold a man responsible for his family, yet a woman can kill part of hers without recourse?
I can say from experience that the stronger the woman, the greater the chances. Weak women choose to give up. Weak women choose to let go. Weak women choose to destroy because they are horrified by the prospect of something good actually coming from them. Because they are horrified that the world does not revolve around their wants, their desires. That nature does not care about the social outcome of our people is proven every day by the fact the sun rises and sets in spite of our dilemmas, in spite of our thoughts that we are so great that all should succumb to our fragile miss-management of ourselves. And why I ask you is it right and proper for anyone to run for help, run to the doctor, to the people who will pay for the procedure, to the judges and lawyers who will protect a horrid act for the price of their dignity, why should they run for help and receive it? Why should they have a national support system when the innocent must stand alone, and die alone? What makes these people so great as to play king and country, Gods against those foolish enough to exist?
I am not here to say that all women are promiscuous, I am not here to say that all abortion is wrong. I am to here to say that choice is irrelevant. We make a choice, we live the condition there after. We don’t have the right to restart like a game. Birth and life are not games. Destruction is not a game nor should it be allowed so very lightly. A women who drops her pants for any man who comes by, then wonders why the outcome was what is was does not possess the right to choose the outcome any longer. She forwent her right to choose no life at all when she chose to mate with anyone.
So then, what is the recourse? Do we disavow all laws to the idea of choice, do we allow the dictatorship to rule with pro-life in mind? If so, how do we prevent them from messing it all up. Our leaders do this often, mostly, usually. Our leaders lead only because we follow. The difference between the common and the leader is that the leader takes in any direction at all under the false pretense that he/she knows what direction to even go.
No, we can not trust such people. We can only trust ourselves. It is only when people stand up for their own responsibilities, when we as a people stop hiding behind other peoples ideals that we can put an end to this debate. We must take our stand with what we are, not what we think we can get away with. Abortion is a medical procedure and it should be done for medical reasons only. Leave convenience and false victimization out of it. Life must go on as the day and nights go on. Have dignity, have responsibility. Stop running from the things you refuse to face. We are not perfect, so we need to stop excusing ourselves and trying to make everyone believe that by justifying ourselves, we can in-fact be without flaw. If we were perfect, we would not be here. But if we try for one to truly be impeccable, then we can at least make here, a less horrifying place to be.
